Altru 2.94 Feature: Data List Enhancements
Premiering in the 2.94 update of Altru are improvements to the various data lists that you access daily. Data lists (also known as grids or simply lists) are the primary means by which you interact with multiple items that are associated to a single record or process. A good place to check this out would be Revenue > Batch entry.
Notice anything different?
First, new filters are available on many of the lists you use every day. For instance, you can now filter the Batch Entry list by date. Something else should jump out at you — we’ve moved all the buttons to the left. This is subtle change that should make it easier for you to see what actions are available to you.
Actions that pertain to a single record in the list, like Delete or (as in this example) Commit, now live in each row. We’re pointing this out to make sure you know where they’re hiding. Hint: look for the little “arrowy” icons we’ve added to the left of each row. Click on the arrow and you’ll find some cool tools. By the way, with exception of the blue text (if there’s any in the row), you can also click anywhere on the row to pull down the options.
Blue text is usually in the first column, and it’s going to open up the record behind that row. In the case of Batch entry, you’ll get blue text if any exception batches were created. But in most other lists or clicking the blue text will simply pop open a child-record.
On some lists, like in Marketing and Communications > Appeal Mailing, you can select multiple rows at once and perform a common action on all of them (like delete). You’ll know this is possible because there will be check boxes next to the row.
Here is what that looks like:
