Altru Monthly Roundup – June 2011

Altru Updates
Altru version 2.9, patch 234 was released this month. Along with some great new features, this update also added the ability to access the Altru Resources page from within the program! You can now add an All Things Altru button to your homepage for quick access to the video library, help guides, training, class schedule, Case Central and much more.

Altru Academy
We just wrapped up a very successful June Miniseries on mailing and query. We are now also posting the recordings of the episodes on the Altru Training Classes Page. If you weren’t able to take part in the class, visit this page to view the recording, download the class notes, and sign up for upcoming classes.

In the News
Blackbaud announced this month that BBCON 2011, the annual conference for nonprofits held in Washington, DC, will feature social media expert Randi Zuckerberg as one of two keynote speakers. The conference will be held October 3-5. For more information, check out the press release.

Word on the Street
The top suggestion on Idea Bank this month is to sort event registration lists by last name rather than by their full name. Do you think this would be a helpful feature? Head out to Idea Bank to vote for this idea or any others you would like to see implemented.

The Harbor History Museum is our Customer of the Month! Harbor History Museum, located in Gig Harbor, Washington, is a hands-on cultural and community center dedicated to sharing the history of the Gig Harbor Peninsula. Through a range of permanent, special and online exhibits, the museum preserves the history of the peninsula and works toward their vision of creating a strong community identity. From July through October, the museum will host a great new exhibit called “Woven Stories: Native American Basketry of the Pacific Northwest.” Check out their website for more information!
