Enhanced Email Job Logging

Version 6.45 of Blackbaud NetCommunity includes some very helpful email logging enhancements that are designed to give you better visibility into what’s happening as your job gets processed for sending.

As with prior versions of Blackbaud NetCommunity, after clicking ‘Send Final’ on an email message, you can view the history of the job by clicking Status log while viewing the message report for the email job in question.

When clicking Status log, you, see the status screen displayed as follows. What’s new in version 6.45 is the Show details link:

In this detailed log, you are able to see the job progress through its statuses in a more detailed manner than simply seeing the start and end of each status. This can be particularly reassuring if, for example, you are sending an email message to a very large, query-based email list and you are concerned that the email job may be ‘stuck’ or not progressing. The detailed logging will continue to reveal updated information every few minutes until the job is completed.
