Scheduling Spotlight: The Course Tab on Course Records

Hi! It’s me again. Last time, we talked about how Configuration impacts Scheduling. Now, let’s see how the Course tab on course records impacts Scheduling.

Don’t Let This Happen to You
“Why is a course missing from Scheduling?”

How to Prevent It
A. Before you start scheduling, make sure all appropriate courses have a course category of Standard or Mandatory on the Course tab. If the course category is Transfer Course, you can access the course in Grades, but not in Scheduling or Attendance. (Review BB143242.)

B. Clear the Course is no longer offered checkbox on the Course tab. Rest assured … if you created classes before you selected the checkbox on a course record, the classes remain active. That’s how you can inactivate a course for a future year while still offering it in the current year.
