Windows Authentication in Blackbaud Hosting

How many passwords do you have to remember on a daily basis?  Some common password protected items that you may frequently use are:  personal computer, work computer, e-mail account, online banking account, mobile device, security alarm, voicemail, bank account pin, social networking sites, and many more!  Geez, remembering all these different usernames and passwords can be a pain right?

Well I am happy to inform you that Blackbaud Application Hosting offers Windows Authentication.  This will allow you to enter one set of credentials when logging to the Blackbaud Application Hosting portal, and then be automatically logged in after selecting the application without having to enter another username and password.

Any user with Supervisor rights can enable Windows Authentication.

1. In The Raiser’s Edge, go to Admin, Security
OR
In The Financial Edge, The Education Edge or Blackbaud Student Information System, go to Administration, Setup System Security.
2. Open the user account that you would like to setup with Window Authentication.
3. Mark the Windows Authentication Checkbox.
4. In the Login field, type blackbaudhost\UserName where UserName is the Hosting username of this particular user.
5. Click Save and close to save the changes.

Why remember more than you have to, set up Windows Authentication and make your life and login process a little easier!
